The Copper Table

Project Details

The Copper Table is an open-fire dining concept built around live-flame cooking and seasonal ingredients. The dining room sells itself on sensory intensity, smoke, heat, and craftsmanship, and the website had to carry that intensity onto a phone screen, where most guests decide where to eat, and then make booking effortless.

The strategic decision was to refuse the standard restaurant-site template, which informs and rarely persuades. A guest choosing between two rooms on a Friday afternoon does not need more information; they need to want this one. So the site's job was defined narrowly: make the visitor hungry, then remove every step between that feeling and a reservation. Everything on the page was judged against those two outcomes.

The design leads with atmosphere. Full-bleed photography, warm color grading that carries the light of the fire, and a minimal interface that lets the food speak. Navigation is deliberately sparse. The headline typography is set in a serif that reads as considered rather than trendy, because a room cooking over open flame has more in common with a craft tradition than with a fast-casual brand.

We designed and developed the site, directed the photography for the web, and built the menu presentation and reservation integration as the core of the experience rather than as add-ons. The build is mobile-first, since the device most guests use to discover a restaurant is the one in their hand, and it ships with the structure and speed that let the site compete in local search.

The Copper Table's site is now the reference we use when a restaurant asks what the difference is between a website that describes a dining room and one that fills it. The live site is linked below.
